Overview
The Katsina State Health Services Management Board is seeking dedicated, highly skilled, and compassionate Medical Doctors to join our clinical teams across various state hospitals. The Role
As a Medical Officer, you will be at the frontline of clinical excellence. You will provide comprehensive primary and secondary medical care, managing a diverse range of patient cases and contributing to the overall health outcomes of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Diagnose, manage, and treat a wide variety of medical conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Medical Procedures: Perform clinical examinations, minor surgical procedures, and emergency interventions as required.
- Prescription & Therapy: Prescribe appropriate medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with national clinical protocols.
- Patient Documentation: Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential electronic and physical patient records.
- Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory scientists to ensure holistic patient care.
- Public Health: Participate in health education, immunization programs, and disease surveillance activities within the hospital catchment area.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be eligible for this Grade Level 13 position, candidates must possess:
- Academic: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized university.
- Professional Registration: Full and valid registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Licensing: Possession of a Current Practicing License.
- National Service: Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or a valid Certificate of Exemption.
- Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy is essential for modern health record management and diagnostic reporting.
- Competencies: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
